As part of our ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and prevent hypertension, VELS Medical College and Hospital in Manjankaranai Village has initiated a campaign to distribute educational pamphlets about hypertension. This campaign targets nearby villages to ensure that vital information about hypertension, its risk factors, and preventive measures reaches a broader audience.

A total of 5,000 pamphlets were printed, and distributed in and around Manjankaranai village.

The distribution took place over a week, from May 20 to June 17, 2024. Volunteers visited each village, engaging with community members, explaining the importance of the pamphlets, and answering any immediate questions they have about hypertension. Positive feedback was received from local leaders and community health workers about the campaign's effectiveness in raising awareness.
