The Department of Orthopaedics conducted a CME on July 24, 2024. Professor Balakrishnan Ilango, a reputed orthopaedic surgeon from Manchester, United Kingdom, delivered two back-to back lectures. The first lecture, "Harmony in Medicine: Managing Stress and Burnout," was aimed at undergraduate students. The second lecture, "Techniques and Tips for Complex Joint Replacement and Trauma Cases," was intended for orthopaedic faculty.
The event was attended by the Dean, Vice Principal, many heads of departments, and around 150 undergraduate students. An active interactive session followed, during which the speaker addressed all the audience's queries. The program benefited many students and faculty members. The management and Medical Education Unit provided complete support, ensuring the event's success.
